A Closer Look at Resident Evil: Afterlife

She's After Them. And She's Going to Be Bringing a Few of Her Friends
The opening scenes of Resident Evil: Afterlife will apparently pick off where Apocalypse left off. Alice clones are on their way to do their best to take down the Umbrella Corporation, headed by Albert Wesker.
The Resident Evil series of movies has, from the beginning, mixed samplings of the video games with fresh material. In Afterlife , characters from Resident Evil V will appear to serve as the on-screen bosses to Alice, Jill Valentine, and Chris and Clair Redfield. Viewers can expect to see an evolved version of zombies and zombified Dobermans, based off the Manjini of Resident Evils IV and V .
Now in post-production and scheduled for a September 10, 2010 release, two trailers and one teaser are available for online viewing. The latest trailer gives viewers a pretty good look into the action-packed film. Set to a soundtrack of A Perfect Circle's The Outsider the trailer shows Alice clones attempting to take down Umbrella, while the real Alice ventures to Alaska to locate survivors. Throughout the film, Alice and her cohorts must fight for their lives against an array of foes, including the generic undead, evolved creatures, and the Umbrella Corporation.
Afterlife was filmed in 3-D, using the same type of equipment used to film Avatar . This feature has the potential to take the already terrifying series to a new level. Viewers can choose between 3-D or regular showings, or they can head to an IMAX theatre to enhance their viewings.
Actors returning to the series include Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Sienna Guillory, Spencer Locke, and new cast members include Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates, Shawn Roberts, Kacey Barnfield and Boris Kodjoe.

Interesting facts about the film. I had no idea the CGI methods that were used in Avatar, were also applied to this film as well. That's highly interesting, as that does explain why the graphics are vastly better than the previous movies. Don't get me wrong, the other films had great special effects too, but the new one just took it to another level.
Anyways, thanks for writing this, as I enjoyed reading it.
