It's not surprising that Yo Gabba Gabba is a big hit with kids and parents alike. The colorful characters and sets, important lesson and appealing music all captivate millions of children across the world. The show's impressive music guests give Yo Gabba Gabba sufficient "hip-factor" to
keep adults entertained too. The show peers into the daily activities of DJ Lance Rock and his group of strange friends, and showcases guest appearances by a large array of actors and musicians. Backstage, a large crew brings the whole production together.
DJ Lance Rock
DJ Lance Rock, aka Lance Robertson, was born in 1965, which may surprise some viewers. Robertson earned the role of DJ Lance when a fellow friend and musician offered him the job. Scottie Schultz, co-creator of Yo Gabba Gabba recruited Lance when casting for the upcoming kids show. Before landing a gig on Yo Gabba Gabba, Robertson grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where he played in many bands and even owned his own record store.
Costumed Characters
The idea for the "monsters" of Yo Gabba Gabba spawned from
characters that appear in the Aquabats live shows. Brobee and Muno are both
variations of existing Aquabats characters. What many viewers may not know is
that the actors wearing the costumes are not the same actors who voice the
characters. Of the entire voice cast, co-creator and voice of Plex, Christian
Jacobs is the only cast member with an extensive acting background.
Muno (He's tall and friendly) - David Crespin and Josh Bally have both
worn the suit of Muno on Yo Gabba Gabba. Behind the scenes, Muno's lines are
recorded by Adam Deibert.
Foofa (She's pink and happy) - Emma Jacobs voices the flower-loving
pink character Foofa. Under the suit is Cortney Cook.
Brobee (The little green one) - Erin and Tara Pearce are responsible
for the movements of Brobee. Brobee's voice is provided by Amos Watene.
Toodee (She likes to have fun) - Melissa Rossiter and Charme Morales
have both donned the Toodee suit. The voice is provided by Erin Pearce, who
also wears the Brobee costume at times.
Plex (A magic robot) Under the costume of Plex is one of two people,
Lindsay Kraus or Amos Watene. The voice of Plex is actually co-creator of Yo
Gabba Gabba and Aquabats member, Christian Jacobs.
My Name is Mark
To those who are unfamiliar with Mark Mothersbaugh, it may come as a surprise
that he is most famous for his extensive musical background. Most commonlyknown
for his band Devo (and their hit Whip It ), Mark's music has appeared
in numerous films, television shows, and video games, including Peewee's
Playhouse , The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou , and the hit game, The
Sims 2 .
The 60-year-old bespectacled musician also paints, and taps into his artistic
side to draw whimsical characters in the Mark's Magic Pictures segment
on Yo Gabba Gabba .
Hey Kids, it's Biz
Rapper and actor Biz Markie teaches kids about beatboxing in the segment Biz's
Beat of the Day . While this isn't Biz's first venture into television, his
previous appearances were for adult audiences. Markie has appeared in feature
films such as Men in Black II , where he played an alien who spoke in
only beatbox noises. In 2006, Biz appeared on The Andy Milonakis Show as the "Rap Fairy," and granted Andy "rap powers."
Biz is best known for his music, specifically his 1989 top ten hit, Just a
Friend .

My daughter loves loves this show and watches it everyday and had learned alot from the show ... How do we get her on the show ?
My 9 month old has been obsessed with this show since she was just 4 months old. She will actually fuss if we watch something else on TV. She won't look away for an ENTIRE episode. I also enjoy it more than any other kids show.

My 14 month old son has been watching gabba faithfully since age 6 months and is still the only show he watches from start to finish. He has learned so much and even has his own funny face! Love these guys!!
my toddler girls love the show. It has also become a favorite of mine . We love the messages of friendship and sharing, and we love to dance!!!
My little one has been watching Yo Gabba Gabba since she was 3 months she is now 9 months...as soon as she hears anybody say Yoooo Gabba Gabba she smiles. I love the show too! My favorite episode is "Baby" and my daughters favorite is all the episodes lol

My daughter started watching yo gabba gabba when she was 6 months and would sit for hours watching it...she even had a yo gabba gabba birthday party. Now my 8 month old son watches it and will fuss when it goes off...honestly yo gabba gabba is our tool to keep him occupied and quiet. Thanks for such an amazing show!
My lil brother loves this show I hope they have more episodes this is the third thing he is addicted to right next to his chupee and blankie he hes been addicted to it since he was 2 months and hes gonna be 2 years in April so he 's gonna have a yo gabba gabba b-day party he says wiggle wiggle go,hold still everyday thank God we can record episodes with the dvr we have every episode
My son loves the show he started watching it when he turned 1 and absolutely loves it. Loves Muno and Brobee, hes turning three soon and his party theme is yo gabba gabba or gabba gabba as he calls it...he chose it himself...Thanks for being educational.

My daughter is 2 years and some months and she is absolutely infatuated with the cast of Yo Gabba Gabba. It's an incredible thing how the crew incorporates a variety of adolescent lessons into every episode. I'm thankful as a father for the thought process that goes into your show.
